first of all i don't want to say that b&s is bad or something - everyone has their own preferences. this is my one and only opinion and i deserve the right to share it.
honest to god i played b&s before i started playing final fantasy xiv. and let's get real on that one: i personally think that ff xiv is better than b&s. why? because it looks more neat. don't get me wrong, you can tinker with the configurations but for me it's maybe just too much and the shading/lightning of the character REALLY bothers me.
not only that, b&s has a lot of graphic issues which i may accuse my laptop for it but ff xiv looks better despite the few lacks it has.
you may argue about the way of the 'password' thing. while you have the one-time password in ff xiv you have a same manner at b&s. on ff xiv you have to use a new one by using a token generator or using the token app that was made by square enix to gain access of your account. b&s has the same manner but you remain with one password. honestly, i don't know which is better because on ff xiv you hav to change it everytime while on b&s you only have one.
people say that b&s has a beautiful interface but it is SHIT to play it with a controller, that i can say. and as someone who plays games with a controller A LOT i was not satisfied with the controller function. ff xiv has it a lot easier with that as it has a FULL controller support and you get used to it very easily. there you can see that b&s is more for people who prefere playing with a keyboard.
don't get me wrong, the only game i play on a keyboard is tomb raider but only because it doesn't support my xbox 360 controller - and i'm quite fine with that, being it an exception.
b&s has a story where you have to kill that girl who destroyed your village and no matter what race or class you use you start the same way but you seem to develop more skills later in the game.
on ff xiv you start the same way but depending on what race you chose it's always different where your character spawns at the beginning.
okay i got it: blade&soul is free2play while you have to pay for final fantasy xiv. the first 30 days are free2play then you can choose if you pay a fee every month for the game to keep on playing. if you don't have any parents being that nice or you are unemployed and your monthly income is just enough to keep you alive you wouldn't pay about 10-20 bucks every month for final fantasy xiv. that's some world of warcraft shit, am i right? and i haven't played wow but i know that this game destroyed a lot of people's lives by staying (or becoming) unemployed and getting hardly addicted to it. online games cause addiction if you are too much devoted to it. all i can say is DON'T. turn off your pc or console and go out, no matter how socially isolated you are. if you think that online games are a stress relief you don't have to play it 24/7 and forget to eat/drink/shower/take a piss and/or a shit. people literally died because of that, i am no kidding.
yeah, this is why we can't have nice things, you know?
i'm not arguing with any of you guys. everyone has their preferences but let me say that i have played blade&soul LONG ENOUGH to know that i'm quietly irritated with it. it looks nice and all but i personally think that final fantasy xiv is better. maybe i just have to wait until i get a new computer that would support b&s in a better way so that it wouldn't look crappy for me, because on my laptop it does look crappy.
okay time to change the topic.
it's vacation and i'm at my parents' domicile for a week or longer because they need a house sitter. if i get paid for it so why not? ( i HOPE i get... ) my last school/working week prior the vacation went quite okay since we didn't do much anyway. i got myself new shoes on saturday because mine were torn once again. now it's time to save money for quality shoes. shoes that cost 10 bucks are not good for me as i use them everyday. i am a person who only needs a pair of shoes and that's it.
for now i'll let it be and i'll try to spend my time elsewhere.
